Lives We've Changed Together
Every dog who comes through our doors has a story. Some have been abandoned. Some have been neglected. Some have been overlooked because of their age, their medical needs, or the challenges they face.
Many were running out of time.
Because of the compassion of our supporters, those stories don't end there.
At Hugs for Harry, we measure success one life at a time...

Beyond the Numbers
Every statistic represents a life.
Every surgery represents relief from pain.
Every adoption represents a family made whole.
Every frightened dog who learns to trust again reminds us why this work matters.
That's impact.
Lives Changed
Behind every statistic is a dog with a story. These are just a few of the many surgical procedures and the advanced medical care we have undertaken - and continue to undertake.
Mickey D
When Mickey D arrived, he was suffering from advanced dental disease that required specialty veterinary care. His treatment included advanced diagnostics, CT imaging, hospitalization, anesthesia, and extensive dental surgery.
Veterinary investment: $5,389.52
Today, Mickey D can finally eat without being hand fed and without pain. He is healing and though he still needs to have his jaw stabilized, he’s beginning to enjoy the life every dog deserves.
Kenny
Kenny came to us with excruciatingly painful medical issues requiring urgent surgery.
His care included:
Complicated Tail amputation from a corkscrew tail
Bilateral eyelid (entropion) repair
Neuter surgery
Hospitalization
Pain management
Recovery care
Veterinary investment: $2,971.49
Today Kenny can snuggle and play and be a normal happy playful love bug. He’s not only recovered, he was ADOPTED (!) and lives with 2 other Bully buddies surrounded by love and kindness - all because people chose to help.
Bubba
Bubba's condition was life-threatening. He was at death’s door.
Without emergency surgery, he would not have survived.
Because of the generosity of our supporters, Bubba received the lifesaving medical care he desperately needed—and another chance at life.
AND, he’s been ADOPTED into a loving forever home!😊
Veterinary investment: $2,743.00
Krypto
Krypto’s mom has Alzheimers and could no longer care for him. When he lost his home., he started having anxiety attacks and ate 2 large leashes that were blocking his stomach and causing his organs to shut down. It required emergency abdominal surgery followed by hospitalization, pain management, and careful recovery.
Veterinary investment: $2,332.80
Today Krypto's future looks very different because we chose to say "yes" with your help.
Krypto has been ADOPTED by a wonderful family living on a horse ranch surrounded by love and people who adore him❤️
Peanut
This tiny little girl’s journey has included extensive diagnostics and ongoing medical treatment for liver disease.
Advanced Veterinary investment: $1,705.75
Some dogs need time, patience, and continued care. Peanut reminds us that healing isn't always immediate—but every life is worth fighting for. She’s a little tiny fighter and we’re in this together to help her get the love, kindness, healing and life she deserves😍.
These a just a few of the many surgical procedures we have taken (and continue to take )to care of our rescues.
More Than A Rescue
While surgery and medical treatment often receive the most attention, healing happens every single day.
Healing takes more than surgery.
Recovery often means learning to trust again.
It means patience.
Routine.
Exercise and enrichment
Love, patience, and companionship
Gentle walks.
Comfort.
A quiet place to sleep.
Time.
Those things cannot be measured on an invoice, yet they are often just as important as the medical care itself.
For many dogs, these everyday acts of kindness are just as life-changing as surgery.
Growing Our Impact
As Hugs for Harry continues to grow, so does our ability to save more lives.
We partner with local shelters and animal welfare organizations to rescue dogs facing euthanasia, neglect, abandonment, or medical hardship. Every adoption creates space to welcome another dog in need, and every new volunteer, foster family, and donor expands our ability to say "yes" when another life depends on it.
Our work is made possible by a compassionate community that believes every dog deserves safety, dignity, and the chance to be loved.
Together, We Are Restoring Hope
Every wagging tail.
Every successful surgery.
Every adoption.
Every frightened dog who learns to trust again.
Every life saved.
This is the impact of your generosity.
Together, we are giving forgotten dogs the second chance they deserve.
