Why We’re Asking for Your Help
In March of 2025 we founded Hugs For Harry to be a safe haven for seniors, cruelty survivors, and shelter dogs on the verge of euthanasia. Every wagging tail you’ll see, every adoption success story, every healing journey—it has all been possible because we had a roof over our head and the support of the community.
The Need
The need is real. Dog rescues are currently experiencing a capacity crisis due to a perfect storm of high economic pressures, rising pet care costs, and a severe shortage of pet-friendly housing, which have driven a surge in owner surrenders and abandoned animals. Simultaneously, dog adoptions have slowed, leading to longer stays and crowded shelters. With your support, we help dogs in need - especially those that shelters and rescues regularly turn away.
Where Your Donations Go
We rely on donations from the community. Every dollar goes toward keeping our dogs safe and keeping our sanctuary open. Here are some of our costs: $4,700/month for lease & utilities, $8,000/month for staffing 7 days a week to monitor, feed and care for our dogs, $4,000/month for veterinary care and medications.

Adoption Fees - Donations - Sponsorships
Adoption Fees
Adoption fees are non-refundable once you have taken home your dog.
Adoption fees go towards vaccinations, heartworm testing, spay/neutering, micro-chipping, medical care if needed, kenneling, food, and possibly the use of a dog trainer to help with behavior problems.
Your dog will be altered, micro-chipped, and vaccinated. All you need to do is get ready to meet your new best friend and give them the love and kindness they deserve.
