Meet: Chula 🌷

Chula deserves a soft, loving lap and her own special human.

There’s a tiny dog at Hugs for Harry right now who is reminding all of us what it means to hold on.

Her name is Chula. She’s a fragile little white mutt who was starving on the streets when the Stockton shelter picked her up. She weighed next to nothing. Skin and bones, teeth rotting, infection already leaking into her body. The shelter did what they could, but she was on the euthanasia list when we got the call.

So we drove out and brought her home.

She’s been with us only a short while, but she’s already found her place—curled into laps, leaning into kindness like she’s trying to become part of you. Chula doesn’t demand anything. She just tucks her head in and sighs with relief. As if to say, Thank you for the warm place. Thank you for not giving up on me.

But now she needs more than comfort. She’s been to the vet, and we’ve been told the infections in her mouth are serious and could spread fast if we don’t act. She needs emergency dental surgery to clear the abscesses and give her a real chance at healing.

It’s expensive, and it’s urgent. We’re doing everything we can, but we need help.
